Gregory Smyth
Inetasia has developed into a leading independent internet consultancy with offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok. Inetasia places a strong emphasis on the integration of solutions and detailed reporting for maximum return on investment. From the initial Design, Campaign Optimization and Management, through Search Engine Optimization, Internet Marketing, Ad Serving to Web Analytics and Multivariate Testing. Inetasia’s flagship clients come from different sectors throughout Asia and include the Hong Kong Tourism Board, Bangkok Hospital, Accor Asia Pacific, Sing Tel and Visa.
Mr. Smyth has been involved in multiple successful internet startups over the last several years including Alluradirect.com, Canada’s largest owner direct ski accommodation portal, Asiaxpat, the leading resource for professionals, executives and expats living in Asia and MyAsianVilla.com, the premier website for Thailand vacation villa rentals.
Most recently, Mr. Smyth help fund and launch ReturningHope.com a regenerative medicine portal which has the goal of bringing together patients, doctors and hospitals for alternative medical treatment.
Previous to Inetasia, Mr. Smyth held appointments in the equity research departments with Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette, a large U.S. investment bank and at Barclays de Zoete Wedd Asia, a leading UK investment bank, creating regional financial products for fund managers around the world.
Mr. Smyth received his undergraduate degree in History and Languages from the University of Western Ontario, Canada in 1990. He also received his MBA in Finance from Dalhousie University, Canada in 1993. He also holds an advanced corporate finance degree from INSEAD, which he completed in 1998.
Mr. Smyth played varsity hockey at both Western and Dalhousie Universities and has led the Hong Kong select team to numerous championships over the last 15 years.
Mr. Smyth is married with one daughter and currently resides in Hong Kong.
